[Distributed_systems] week 8-13 (or not?)

Hi Márk,
I agree with most everything you said. The way I see it now, is that
yes, all of these issued can be fixed, but the critical problem is
meeting the deadlines, or as you said: "make classes to be prepared at
least a week earlier".
We are short on time, and currently I don't see if we can catch up,
mostly because of the lag in the communications. (For example, Péter was
perfectly on time with the video, yet, even by now, the video received
only one review. Will all the other labs be able to use this video as it
is now?)
If we are to keep developing common materials, then either:
* everyone has to dedicate extra time every week to discuss and
revise the tasks and the materials (since it has to fit every lab's
requirements) in a very short time frame. Then, the authors also have to
allocate extra time to answer questions and do the revisions in a very
short time frame.
* or, we give up the deadlines, and authors are working on their
own tempo, and later maintaning it to fit the emerging standards. On the
labs, everyone is using whatever they can. This is easy to organize, and
seems more realistic based on what we have right now. The trade-off is
that we most likely won't see much benefits from this in this semester's
labs.
Regarding the format: It's not that anyone's format is wrong (though it
needs to fit every labs' needs). It's just this is something thats needs
to us to do a lot more coordination with each other. And again, this
takes time.
Bests,
Dániel
Ps.: I couldn't raise all of this on Friday meeting, just parts of it,
two or three times. That was when Tamás mentioned that he thinks maybe
someone will have to ask the faculty about using videos in the labs.
