[P4] P4 - EIT Project

Sziasztok,

Beszéltem ma pár emberrel a projektről:

1. Rebecca (SICS): Alapvetően olyan lightweight megoldásuk van, ami a 
data plane real-time monitorizását teszi lehetővé, ezzel pontos 
információt nyújtva a vezérlési rétegnek.

2. Jean-Pierre Seifert (TUB - TLABS) csapatából volt itt egy srác: Őket 
a control plane integráció érdekelte, elsősorban security aspektusokból. 
Ami viszont felmerült, hogy a Deutsche Telekomot be tudnák hozni, mint 
"customer"-t, aki a use case deiniáláshoz tudna kontributálni.

3. A pitch után odajött hozzám Holger Nitsch a Nokiától, aki szintén 
érdeklődött. Nem feltétlenül ez az EIT projekt, hanem nagyobb H2020 
projekt is érdekelné.

4. Henrik Abramowicz lebetegedett, úgyhogy Roberto Sarocco 
helyettesítette. Vele beszéltem arról, hogy a business modelben ki tudna 
segíteni, ill. hogy milyen opciók lehetnek. Azt problémásnak látta, hogy 
az EIT Digital forrás egy Ericsson termék kifejelesztésére fordul. Ennek 
ellenére hallottam totál ellentétes információt is, úgyhogy erről majd 
egy EIT Digitalos business developerrel kell beszélni. Elvben március 29 
után elérhető lesz Henrik is, tehát majd vele is beszélek erről, hogy 
kit ajánl, aki SDN terülteten aktív. A startup, mint output is jó, de 
ennél is meg kell mutatni, hogy valaki előbb utóbb fizetni fog 
valamiért. Én még esetleg valami open source business modelt tudnék 
elkézelni, de ott is ki kell találni, hogy miként lesz pénz ebből.

Az Intel kapcsán ismét írtam a London node-nak, hogy küldjék el, ki az 
Intel EIT-s kapcsolattartója.

Van pár további változás, ami nem túl jó: idéntől van egy sustainability 
fül a proposalban, ahol - durván fogalmazva - be lehet ajánlani, hogy 
miként fog a nyereségből az EIT Digital is részesülni. Alapvetően azt 
mondták, hogy ha ez nincs kitöltve akkor "B" besorolásról indul a 
projekt. Tavaly az összes A és B projektet támogatták. Ehhez van egy 
ilyen leírásom:

In response to the EIT requirement for KICs to become sustainable, EIT 
Digital is developing and deploying its sustainability strategy. 
Please explain how you intend to contribute to KIC sustainability 
by selecting at least one sustainability mechanism and providing a short 
explanation as well as a projection of the income for the KIC for the 
next 5 years.

It is important to offer realistic mechanisms and realistic targets. We 
strongly advise you to discuss your targets and estimations with your 
Node Director.

*Sustainability for Innovation Activities*
Sustainability for Innovation Activities includes return on investment 
on innovation Activities via:

  * ROI from successfully launched products and services
  * ROI from technology transfers in the context of Innovation Activities
  * Equity in startups resulting from Innovation Activities


For a startup created out of an Innovation Activity, the following 
principles apply:

  * EIT Digital will get common shares that will be diluted during
    future financing rounds
  * 50% of the initial startup shareholding structure is attributed to KAVA
  * EIT Digital’s equity percentage is determined by the EIT financial
    contribution as relative share of KAVA
  * Activities over multiple years: amounts are summed up over the years
