Starting from the next week adaptation of the building process of the
CodeCompass to Microsoft Windows is suspended. Main reason is no
progress was achieved for a long time. Secondary reason is changing of
the logic of the software. The Core library is completely rewritten and
now comes with both standalone and FCGI based HTTP service providers
included. As a consequence it does not have many external dependencies
and so building the Core library on any compatible operation system is
to be more trivial. Furthermore, adopting server-client architecture in
the upcoming versions of the existent UI-s is advised and creating
web-based platform-independent UI is considered. So all our resources
are devoted to release the first stable version of the new core, and to
create the web-based UI mentioned.
The Core library itself is still under active development as the foreign
key handling still lacks bug-free implementation. The built-in
standalone server has entered the final testing stage. Additional tests
are needed and are to be created the next week.
Overview of the actual states of the components:
Core/Database layer: work in progress
Thread library: stable
HTTP Service library: testing (additional tests needed)
